24" x 18" water colors, oil pastels and collage on paper This piece was created as a result of an inspiring painting created by my late and admired mentor, Dr. Alex Vilumsons. Using a vase of flowers as a reference, I collaged various papers and used inks and oil pastels in a very loose and spontaneous way.

18" x 24" water media and collage on paper When you look at a field covered in diverse and sporadic patches of flowers, all you can see is color and texture. It is hard to define any clear shapes. I hope I was able to transfer the feeling. In this piece I poured colors, collaged colored tissue paper and drew with oil pastels

18" x 24" water media and collage on paper This piece was created subsequent to and in the same manner as “Wild Flowers”

24" x 18" This piece was created subsequent to and in the same manner as “Wild Flowers”, and “Japanese Garden”

24" x 20" water media and collage on canvas Traveling around the canvas, I glued together small pieces. Pulling the pieces together and molding them into a story was quite challenging. These weren’t my usual bold shapes graphic thinking; it was a very involved process. Using mixed media; painted tissue paper, photocopies of photographs I took, pieces of Eucalyptus bark and dry leaves. I painted with inks and water colors and used gesso and plastic screens for texture. Dedicated to Co-op7

24" x 20" water media and collage on a canvas This piece was collaged on top of an acrylic painted canvas. I used large shapes of paper, and allowed seeps of the painting to show through, especially the fractions with texture. As in my piece “ Coop 7” I glued a plastic screen on top in order to unify the piece and to incite interest

24" x 18" inks and collage on paper I poured inks on watercolor paper in a very spontaneous manner with empty thoughts and no judgment. I enjoyed the results, but I couldn’t see them as art pieces, so I tore them apart and molded them into one piece worth looking at. I especially like the whites passing through the darks; it gives me hope on a dark and gloomy day
